My name is Olivia Peralta and I’m an occupational therapist from Broken Arrow, OK. My journey to becoming an OT began in high school, where I was a peer tutor for students in the special education classes. Doing so brought a smile to my face everyday and I knew I wanted a career where I would be able to help others! I completed an A.S. Health Science through Tulsa Community College in 2018, then transferred to Northeastern State University to complete my B.S. in Psychology in 2020. I was then accepted into NSU’s Master of Occupational Therapy program in January of 2021. I had the privilege of meeting everyone at 40:31 completely by accident after falling and breaking my foot right before a scheduled pediatric fieldwork. Tara’s team was gracious enough to take me in last minute (on a scooter, no less), and I discovered a new passion while learning about vision and play-based therapy. After graduation, I was thrilled to be offered the opportunity to return to 40:31 where I get to help so many amazing kiddos do the things they need and want to do!If I’m not at work I’m usually spending time with family or friends, or catching up on content from my favorite band, BTS (I have posters at my desk). I love Korean food, listening to music, and petting dogs.
