Empowering Families and Supporting Student Success
Navigating the school system can be overwhelming for families trying to ensure their child receives the support they need to succeed. At 40:31 Rehab & Wellness, we partner with families, educators, and school teams to bridge that gap through our IEP & Student Advocacy Services.
Our goal is to help children thrive in academic and social environments by ensuring their educational plans are clear, comprehensive, and tailored to their unique strengths and challenges. Whether your child needs occupational therapy, speech support, accommodations for learning differences, or behavioral strategies, our team helps make sure their needs are recognized and met at school.
We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and participate fully — and every parent deserves to feel confident advocating for their child’s success.
Our Approach
Our advocacy services are grounded in collaboration and education. We work alongside families to help them understand their child’s rights under federal and state education laws, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
We begin by reviewing your child’s current educational plan, evaluation results, and progress reports. From there, we help you identify goals, clarify accommodations, and communicate effectively with school staff.
Our team can attend meetings, assist in writing or reviewing goals, and help you prepare for discussions with teachers and administrators — always focusing on what’s best for your child’s learning and well-being.
Through compassionate advocacy and professional guidance, we empower parents to become strong, informed voices for their child’s education.
Common Goals
Every family’s situation is unique, but our advocacy services typically focus on these key goals:
- Clarifying Educational Needs: Understanding your child’s strengths, challenges, and specific learning requirements.
- Developing Effective Goals: Ensuring IEP or 504 plan goals are clear, measurable, and aligned with your child’s needs.
- Improving Communication: Strengthening collaboration between parents, teachers, and therapists.
- Securing Appropriate Accommodations: Helping families advocate for the tools and strategies needed for academic success.
- Supporting Transitions: Guiding families through changes between grade levels, schools, or service plans.
- Empowering Parents: Building confidence and understanding of advocacy processes.
We believe advocacy isn’t about conflict — it’s about collaboration. Our approach helps create mutual understanding between families and schools, leading to stronger support systems for the child.
